Trans-Membrane Pressure (TMP) Calculation for UF (Manual)

To calculate accurate Trans-Membrane Pressure (TMP), it is necessary to involve the height difference of inlet and outlet pressure gauges.

Example calculation of TMP
TMP    = (Pin - Hin) - (Pout + Hout)
    = (70 - 10) - (20 + 25)
    = 60 - 45
    = 15 kPa

Note, the following formula may also be used:
TMP    = Pin - Pout - total delta H
    = 70 - 20 - (10 + 25) = 15 kPa
